Turn on your Xbox One .
Insert either AA batteries or rechargeable batteries from the Xbox One Play & Charge Kit into the controller.
Turn on your controller by pressing and holding the Xbox button .
Press and release the Pair button on the Xbox.
How do you Put Batteries in Xbox Controller?
Press the tab on the top of the AA battery pack , and then pull down to detach the pack from the controller.
Insert two new AA LR6 batteries.
Slide the AA battery pack back into the controller, and then push in to close.
