Run Command
Although the Run command is still present in Windows Vista and later, it no longer appears directly on the Start menu by default, in favor of the new search box and a shortcut to the Run command in the Windows System submenu.
Where is Run on Vista?
In order to get the Run menu to appear in the Windows Vista Start menu, rightclick on the taskbar and choose Properties. On the Start menu tab, choose Customize Figure C. and tick the Run command checkbox Figure D. The Run command now appears on the rightside of the Start menu as shown in Figure E.
How do I Enable Run in Windows 7?
In Windows 7, open the Start Menu and then access "All Programs > Accessories > Run" to launch the window. Alternatively, you can also customize your Windows 7 Start Menu to permanently display a Run shortcut in the righthand pane.
