How to Create Custom Live Tiles in Windows 8
Download OblyTile.
Open OblyTile.
Click the “Wrench” in the top right corner .
From the main screen of OblyTile, you can begin creating a live tile by naming it.
You can choose what type of live tile it will be by clicking the “…” icon.
Pick the Tile Image.
How do I Add a Tile to Windows 8 Start Screen?
Navigate to a page that you want to create a tile for.
Rightclick or swipe up to open the App Bar.
Click Pin site.
Click Pin to Start.
Click the Pin to Start button to create the tile.
How do I Enable Live Tiles?
Press the Start Icon on Taskbar.
Go to the App tile you wish to change,
Right click onto it, to bring up a menu:
Then select More,
and then select Turn Live tile on or off.
How do I Pin a Desktop Tile in Windows 8?
A menu bar appears at the bottom of the screen. Click the All apps button at the bottom right corner. From the All Apps menu right click the Desktop tile and then click the Pin to Start button at the bottom left of the screen. Your Desktop tile will be back in the Metro Start Screen.
