How do you Add Friends when you are a New Player?
You don't necessarily need to be friends in-game to play together, you can just invite each other into a team. Make sure you both are in the same place and instance (server), when you've found each other then RMB on your designated teammate and choose "invite to team" and wait for the other to accept.
