This button is also the most important. Because this is the button you use to turn the console on when it is either turned off or in rest mode.
Why is my PS Button not Working PS3?
It just may need a reset, there should be a small little button on the back you have to use a paperclip or something to press and make sure its plugged in the ps3. use a different USB cord and slot. If it doesn't work then yeah its prolly DOA.
