What is Game Data in PS3?
The Game Data Utility only stores game installation files and update files. There are plenty of PS3 games that simply do not need an installation or a patch and therefore dont appear in the Game Data Utility Folder at all.
How do you Free up Space on PS3?
From the PlayStation 3 Home Menu, go to Game > [Game Data Utility ]. Note: Make sure you select [Game Data Utility].
Locate the game data utility file i.e. name of a particular game you have been playing you wish to delete. Press the Triangle button and select Delete.
What is Game Data?
Game Data means the data that the Server Software accesses to store the permanent and persistent information about the state of the Servers including, but not limited to, characters, Accounts, logs, items, quests, monsters, guilds and other game and player information. RGI shall have access to Game Data at all times.
