What should I Research First in War of the Chosen?
Your first choice will be between better armor and better weapons. We advise focusing on Modular Weaponry, which will allow you to put stuff you take from the battlefield onto your guns. More damage isn't necessarily better than more armor, but not getting shot at all should be your primary concern.
Are Proximity Mines Good XCOM 2?
Using a proximity mine to open an ambush gives you a big advantage, since the mine will trigger at the enemy's turn, which means that your soldiers will shoot there overwhatch shots and are able to take actions right afterwards. In addition to that there do more damage than a plasma grenade and shred armor as well.
How does a Proximity Mine Work?
It was introduced in Patch 12.10. Once thrown, it will stick to most surfaces like a Remote Explosive would. Once a player walks close, shot by a weapon, effected by another Proximity Mine or another explosive, the Proximity Mine will quickly bounce up and explode and deal damage to anyone close.
How do you Upgrade Grenades in XCOM 2?
All other grenades are unlocked via Engineering, Research or the Proving Ground. Grenades have a default range of 10 squares. All Grenades are upgraded to Bombs with the Advanced Explosives Proving Ground project. The Grenade Launcher and Advanced Grenade Launcher provide +1/2 radius and +4/5 range.
What does Advanced Explosives do XCOM 2?
All Experimental Grenades have a basic version and then an advanced version that's (name) Bomb instead of (name) Grenade. Performing the Advanced Explosives Proving Ground Project causes all current and future grenades to upgrade for free.
Are Gas Grenades Good Xcom 2?
A Gas Grenade can be quite useful to reliably whittle down enemies' health to 1 HP for capture with an Arc Thrower, without the risk of accidental death with a weapon.
