Why is Windows Store so Bad?
The biggest offender is that the Microsoft Store doesn't work. It's an app for downloading apps and games, and a lot of the time it fails at that task. Downloads will cut out half-way through, with useless errors that give no explanation as to why the download has failed.

That's because Microsoft's new application platform is designed to be more limited. Apps are run in a sandbox, limiting the files they can access on your system.

Microsoft Store for Business and Microsoft Store for Education will be retired in the first quarter of 2023. You can continue to use the current capabilities of free apps until that time. Starting on April 14th, 2021, only free apps will be available in Microsoft Store for Business and Education.
