One of the core advantages of low-level APIs like DirectX 12 and Vulkan is improved CPU utilization. Traditionally with DirectX 9 and 11 based games, most games only used 2-4 cores for the various mechanics: Physics, AI, draw-calls, etc. Some games were even limited to one. With DirectX 12 that has changed.
Is DirectX 12 Faster than 11?
The average frame rate s for DX12 were higher than DX11 where it is about 2%. DX12 was faster when it mattered most. When the game is rendering the frames which are most demanding, DX12 displays an ~ 10% average improvement in frame rate.
Why was Deus Ex Cancelled?
Eidos have just confirmed that they have been working on a new Deus Ex game for over 3 years, the game was going to be a follow up to Mankind Divided and featured a new main character, but unfortunately the game has now been cancelled and shelved. Eidos claim this is due to poor sales of Mankind Divided.
