Best Buy steps in. With the bot situation out of control, and cards winding up on eBay at massively inflated prices, Nvidia stops selling the RTX 3080 and 3090 Founders Edition graphics cards via its online store, and shifts sales to Best Buy in the US. Nvidia: Yep, things are bad.

RTX 30series restock events tend to happen at least once or twice a month at Best Buy. The last Best Buy RTX 3080 restock occurred on March 16.
Why is there a Nvidia Card Shortage?
But the shortage is also due to increased demand, as a growing number of cryptocurrency miners seek out the latest GPUs and gaming companies announce new titles that run best with new hardware.
Is the GPU Shortage Getting Better?
Insiders believe the GPU shortage should stabilize during the summer, which is supported by the fact that AMD and Intel are seeking new substrate partners in order to enhance production. Nvidia has also confirmed that inventory for its GPUs will improve during the second half of 2022.

RTX 3080 and RTX 3090 cards are still sold out across all stores, but there are pre-built systems that include the cards still available.
Is it Still Impossible to Get a 3080?
Even when retailers do get big restocks, the RTX 3080 can be scarce. Thats not to say its impossible to find, as weve seen a number of retailers with cards on hand. Paying so much for the RTX 3080 makes it a much harder proposition, but prebuilt gaming PCs provide an alternative option to buying the card alone.

RTX 30-series restock events tend to happen at least once or twice a month at Best Buy. To date, the last three Best Buy RTX 3080 restocks occurred on February 11, January 5, and January 20. (There was also a restock on February 10, but it was for Best Buy Totaltech members only).
