Reset the JoyCon by pressing the SYNC Button once. Then press any other button on the controller to power it on again. If the JoyCon is still not recognized by the console, try to detach and reattach the JoyCon to the console a couple times. If at all possible, test another JoyCon with the console.

Hold the Power Button for roughly 3 seconds.
Select Power Options.
Choose either Turn Off or Restart.
If any skins or covers are being used with the problematic JoyCon, remove them temporarily.
Check if the any control sticks or buttons feel sticky or stuck down.
