How to Turn Off Nintendo Switch or Put It in Sleep Mode
Hold the power button on top of the console down for five seconds.
A menu will open. In this menu, select "Power Options."
Then, using the controller, scroll down to " Turn Off " and hit the A button. If the Switch is undocked, you can also tap it with your finger.
Does Switch Turn off when Docked?
When you put your Switch onto the dock, it will automatically change your TV's input to the Switch's display. When you turn on your Switch while it's connected to the dock, your TV will also turn on. Turning off your TV will put your Switch to sleep.
Can you Turn off Nintendo Switch while Charging?
You can charge your Nintendo Switch when it is completely turned off, but any attached JoyCon controllers will not be charged in that case. If you want to charge your JoyCon controllers, please do so in Sleep Mode.

Find TV Settings near the bottom of Settings and tap OK.
Find Match TV Power State and hit OK to toggle the feature to OFF.
