Why Isn't Skype Starting on my Desktop?

How do I Download Skype for Mac?
Go to skype.com and select "Downloads" from the menu toward the top of the screen.
Click "Get Skype for Mac" — this will prompt a pop-up of the download to appear at the bottom of the browser window.
