iOS apps tend to be smaller and require less coding. Mac apps can be much larger and do things iOS apps cannot. Bigger apps that do more stuff=more expensive. Even apps that do exactly the same thing on the Mac as their iOS counterpart are usually but not always more complicated in terms of coding.
