Import Media into IMovie from your Mac

Why Can't I Import Videos into IMovie?

iMovie supports MP4 files that use MPEG 4 and H. 264 codecs only. If other codecs are applied in your MP4 files, you cant import them into iMovie for editing. Thats why iMovie says it supports MP4, but iMovie wont import your MP4 files.
