Aaron Bahr- Programmer-  Aaron joins Human Head Studios as an up and coming video game console coder.  He brings his tenacious programming style and love for grunt work to the studio.  Before having Ragnar save his sould, Aaron worked on plug-ins for video editing packages.  Aaron's plan file.

 

 

bgokey@humanhead.comBen Gokey- Programmer, Co-Founder-  Ben is a long time veteran of the game industry, having begun his career with Black Crypt for the Amiga.  Ben's keen game sense and coding skills are featured across the gamut of Human Head games.  Ben previously worked on the following titles:   Hexen II, Hexen, Heretic, and Black Crypt, Rune, Rune-Halls of Valhalla.  Ben's plan file. 

 

 

Brett Hawkins- 3D Animator/ Modeler-  Brett joins human head as a veteran of 3D game development.  He created a wicked collection of beasties for Blair Witch Volume 2 and continues to create intensely vivid concept art, models and animations for the Head's latest projects.  Brett previously worked on the Rebel Moon series of games for Fenris Wolf.  Brett's plan file.

 

 

Brian Frank- Artist-  Brian has been hanging around with the Head Crew for nearly a decade (having worked on Hexen and Hexen II at Raven Software).  Upon returning from his short pilgrimage for higher learning, he returned with a BFA.  This apprentice officially joins the ranks of Human Head Studios, having worked on Blair Witch Volume 2 and Rune- Halls of Valhalla.  Brian feels it's hard to compete with the rest of the Head Crew, but he shows no fear, and has been boldly contributing to the conceptual illustration of strange creatures and sexed-up women ready for gothic battle.  Brian somehow abstracts stunning level geometry from his crude drawings that seem arbitrarily smeared with charcoal.  Brian's plan file.

 

 

crhinehart@humanhead.comChris Rhinehart- Programmer, Co-Founder-  Chris another veteran of the game industry, specializing in providing fantastic game features and effects code as well as serving as Project Lead on a variety of games.  Chris was a co-founder of the company, and has worked on the following titles: Rune, Rune- Halls of Valhalla, Blair Witch Volume 2 (Installer), Mageslayer, Take No Prisoners, Hexen, Heretic, Necrodome and Super Duelin' Minivans.  Chris' plan file.

 

 

dgulisano@humanhead.comDavid Gulisano- 3D Animator/ Modeler- Originally from the vast tundra of Michigan, David joined Human Head as a animator/modeler for Blair Witch Volume 2. David is a veteran of the gaming industry having worked previously at Volition on Freespace 2.  His other projects include Rune- Halls of Valhalla and Blair Witch Volume Two.  David's plan file.

 

 

Dave Halsted- Level Designer-  A veteran game player with a knack for understanding the fine art of level design, Dave joined Human Head at the start of 1999 as a production assistant for the Rune team.  He quickly moved into a level design role, creating stunning geometry and devilishly clever environments.  Dave's projects include Rune- Halls of Valhalla, and Rune.  Dave's plan file.

 

 

Eli Quinn- Artist-  After graduating from Madison Area Technical College, Eli started at Human Head in June 2000.  His first experience in the gaming industry was gained doing environmental texture art for Blair Witch Volume 2.  Currently he provides beautiful texture work for Human Head's various projects.   He also fancies himself a concept artist, creating unique and evocative illustrations for upcoming projects drawing upon the art skills he has honed since age 4.  Eli's plan file.  

 

 

Greg Marshall- Artist-  Greg joined Human Head Studios at the beginning of 1999.  New to the industry at that time, Greg brought with him an eye for architecture and an uncanny understanding of light and shadow.  Greg currently splits his time between providing incredible textures for various Human Head projects and creating full color concept art for upcoming games.  Greg's projects include Rune, Rune- Halls of Valhalla and Blair Witch 2.  Greg's plan file.

 

 

James Sumwalt- Artist, Co-Founder-  Jim puts his years of experience to good use as a level designer, concept artist, modeler and animator.  He has a string of titles to his credit, including: Rune, Rune- Halls of Valhalla, Hexen II, Take No Prisoners, Mageslayer, Hexen, Heretic, Necrodome, Cyclones, Bioforge, and Shadowcaster.  Jim's plan file.

 

 

Jean Paul LeBreton- Level Designer- JP is a lesser-known species of North American Grey-Tufted Level Designer, characterized by his striking red plumage and piercing cry.  JP servers as a level designer for various Human Head games, providing a unique blend of geometric derring-do and instinct for what makes a level fun to play.  His projects include: Rune- Halls of Valhalla and Blair Witch Volume 2.  JP's plan file.

 

 

Jeff DeWitt- Animator-  Jeff's role as animator for Human Head has provided some wickedly cool animations, including all of Ragnar's movements and attacks for Rune and Rune- Halls of Valhalla.  While making Ragnar walk and chew bubble gum, Jeff is also a talented concept artist, creating characters that make you want to jump in and play.  Jeff also serves as Art Lead on an upcoming PS2 console project.  His projects include: Rune, Rune- Halls of Valhalla, and Heretic II.  Jeff's plan file.

 

 

Matt Sweeney- Programmer-  Matt joined Human Head in early 2000 with the intent on taking the gaming industry by storm.  A long time computer game addict, Matt works on a variety of PC and console projects, relying on over 10 years of programming experience to add to Human Head's games.  His baptism by fire was on Blair Witch Volume 2, and he currently is working on a PS2 project.  Matt's plan file.

 

 

Mick 'VerMoorD' Beard- Level Designer-  Mick got his first experience creating game levels as the designer of such popular deathmatch maps as DMTagar and DMSanctum and the much acclaimed single player 3-level episode "The Valley of Alshar".  Mick then got his professional break creating levels for the Unreal Expansion Pack- "Return to Na Pali."  He moved to the US in 1999 to work on Deep Space Nine for The Collective, but the call of the Viking was too much for him.  Now he graces Human Head with incredible skills and knowledge as one of our top level designers.  His projects for Human Head include Rune and Rune- Halls of Valhalla.  Mick's plan file.

 

 

Mike Craddick- Programmer-  Besides having the distinction of consuming more sugar than everyone else at Human Head combined, Mike performs feats of coding magic for various projects.  Specializing in 'code no one else wants to deal with,' Mike has quickly earned a reputation as a go to guy.  His projects include Rune and Rune- Halls of Valhalla.  Mike's plan file.

Mike Larson- Audio Director-  Mike is the audio director for all projects at Human Head Studios. In a previous life, Mike was with WaxTrax recording artists Psykosonik. He has considerable sound and music experience, having provided audio for the games Cyclones, Rebel Moon Rising, Carnivores 2 and more. His material can also be found on 'Best Service' Sample CD's and various CD compilations.  His Human Head games include: Rune, Rune- Halls of Valhalla and Blair Witch Volume 2.  Mike's plan file.  

 

 

Nathaniel Albright-  3D Animator-  Nathaniel joined Human Head in mid-2000 with a talent for animation, taking on the daily tasks of making our characters come to life on the digital screen.  While extensively trained in the ways of �The Animator�, Nathaniel can not overcome the thrill of taking his god like hands and ripping the life out of each and every game character through keyframes and f-curves.  His projects include: Rune and Rune- Halls of Valhalla.  Nathaniel's plan file.

At Human Head Studios, he brings his many talents to a wide range of duties from Art Lead on various projects to level design and game design.  His previous projects include Rune- Halls of Valhalla, Blair Witch Volume Two, Xenophage, Super Duelin' Minivans, and Midway Games' CarnEvil, and Mortal Kombat: Special Forces.  Rowan's plan file.

 

 

Seth Johnson- Design Assistant-  Rocketed to Earth as a small child, by day Seth was at various times a copywriter, trading post operator, literary agent, state fair carny, pizza chef, web designer, bakery delivery driver, and editor of science fiction and fantasy books before joining the ranks of the Heads.  But when darkness falls across the city, Seth fights evil as a freelance writer--among his most recent work is the "Sketch! Ted Halsted- Artist, Co-Founder-  Ted is the art manager for the company, as well as a level designer and brilliant concept illustrator, bringing the Human Head Studios design to life through his great skill with a pencil and page.  He is an able veteran of the game industry, having worked on the following titles: Rune, Rune- Halls of Valhalla, Take No Prisoners, Mageslayer, and Hexen II.  Before joining the game industry, he was an artist for Marvel Comics on Venom.  Ted's plan file.

 

 

tbowman@humanhead.comTim Bowman-  Artist- Tim joined Human Head at the start of 1999 bringing with him a keen understanding of anatomy and texture and an absolute desire to make games.  Tim serves as a skinner for various projects, making creatures go from a simple assemblage of polygons to living, breathing inhabitants of our worlds.  He is also a concept artist, having provided concept art for numerous projects.  Tim's projects include: Rune, Rune- Halls of Valhalla.  Tim's plan file.

 

 

Tim Gerritsen-  Business Director, Principal- Tim is a veteran game producer and designer, having worked on numerous gaming titles over the years.  As the resident 'Biz Guy' and CEO of the company, Tim keeps the studio going- pitching projects, negotiating contracts, managing projects and constantly clawing his way through a mountain of paperwork.  His previous projects include: Rune, Rune- Halls of Valhalla, Blair Witch Volume 2, Aces of the Deep CD-ROM, A-10II, MechWarrior 3, McKenzie & Co., OrbAtak, and a dizzying array of numerous various other console and PC titles.  Tim's plan file.
