Open your Steam client. Select the LIBRARY tab. Navigate to your game Halo: The Master Chief Collection. Rightclick it and select Properties.
Under the GENERAL tab, click on SET LAUNCH OPTIONS….
In the box, type windowed. Remember the hyphen –. Then click OK.
