An onscreen marker will lead you to a container, and inside, an item to collect the Intercepted Distress Signal. Now visit Zavala in the Tower. He will explain what the Intercepted Distress Signal means, and unlocks a new quest Presage on the Tangled Shore .
How do you Investigate the Distress Signal in Destiny 2?
For players to obtain the Intercepted Distress Signal they must first load into The Arms Dealer Strike in Destiny 2. This can be started from the Strike playlist, the Nightfall, or even selecting the Strike by opening the EDZ location from the Director and choosing it manually.
Where is the Distress Signal in The Arms Dealer?
Head outside to find a yellow-bar Phalanx and some more turrets. Kill the Phalanx and approach the control panel on the left landing platform. Inspecting it will give you the distress signal. You don't need to actually finish the strike, so head back to the Tower and speak with Zavala.
How do I Access Presage?
To unlock the Presage mission, you must first obtain a distress signal from The Arms Dealer strike. You can obtain this from either the strike or Nightfall variant. Load into the mission, defeat the first group of Cabal, then run into the door behind them.
