The Trinity Ghoul Catalyst in Destiny 2 can be unlocked by playing Strikes in the Vanguard activity Playlist located in the Destinations tab. Similar to most Catalysts in Destiny 2, the reward will be dropped at random by completing the activity or through an Exotic Engram found in the Vanguard Strikes.

To get Trinity Ghoul it's a random world drop exotic, so finding them out there in the wild, grinding nightfalls and making sure you check Xur each Friday to see if he's selling it or not. To get the catalyst you'll want to complete strikes and it's dropping at random.
